No less than three individuals were wounded in a shooting on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv, says The Jerusalem Post.

All the injured are receiving medical treatment. One of them arrived in critical condition after being shot in the neck.

Israel’s authorities are referring to the incident as a terror attack. Early reports and footage indicate there were two terrorists with guns.

The local police says one of the shooters had been “neutralised” while search for the second one is still on.

Initial reports say the terrorist in the Tel Aviv attack is 23-year old Mutaz Al Khuwaja. He had previously been jailed for more than a year for terror activities, says Israeli TV channel i24NEWS.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the country’s PM, has commented on the matter, saying he was praying for the wounded, and expressing support to the country’s police and security agencies.
