A road police outpost located on the border between Russia’s region of North Ossetia and Ingushetia was attacked overnight, two police officers were admitted to hospital with wounds.

The North Ossetian Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal procedure on the matter, the agency says.

The outpost in question is located near the locality of Kantyshevo on the Ingushetian side, the local police says, while the North Ossetian Investigative Committee says the outpost was in their region.

The attackers that used firearms to attack the police outpost are being searched for. After retaliation fire they left the scene on foot, 112 Telegram channel reports.
