A Ukrainian court has sentenced an employee of the Kharkiv region occupation administration to nine years behind bars over charges of wartime collaboration, as per the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.

Her personal information has not been shared. According to the investigation, in June 2022 the woman voluntarily assumed a position in the occupation administration, in practice becoming the head of the Starovirivka village in the Kharkiv region.

In this role, the woman coordinated operations between different departments of the occupation administration, worked with local residents, and facilitated, in collaboration with Russia’s Armed Forces, movement of people in the occupied territories.

She was detained soon after a part of the Kharkiv region was liberated by Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
