All NATO allies have agreed that Ukraine will become a member, says Secretary General of the Alliance Jens Stoltenberg, as per Sky News.

He also said that the main focus now was to ensure that Ukraine prevails against Russia.

Speaking ahead of a meeting of the Ukraine defence contact group at Ramstein air base in Germany, he also told reporters that, once the war in Ukraine ends, Kyiv must have “the deterrence to prevent new attacks”.

NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg arrived in Kyiv yesterday. During a press conference with Ukraine’s President Zelensky, he stated that the allies had provided more than €150 billion of support to Ukraine since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022.

“Ukraine’s rightful place is in the Euro-Atlantic family. Ukraine’s rightful place is in NATO. And over time, our support will help to make this possible,” he said.
