On 21 September, Vladimir Putin announced a “partial” mobilisation. However, it turns out that in practice, no one is safe from the draft: the army is ready to snatch you even if you have multiple children or if you are close to retirement. According to Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Russia plans to draft 300,000 reservists into the army. Meanwhile, a source in the Kremlin told Novaya Gazeta. Europe that up to 1 million people might be enlisted.
