The Ukrainian army is losing between 60 and 100 soldiers everyday as killed in action and around 500 people as wounded, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky told Newsmax.

“The most difficult situation is in the east of Ukraine and southern Donetsk and Luhansk. The situation is very difficult; we're losing 60-100 soldiers per day as killed in action and something around 500 people as wounded in action. So we are holding our defensive perimeters," he said.

He also noted that the US rocket systems will not be used against Russia’s internationally recognized territory.

“I hear some people in the US, including people in the White House, are afraid that we might use those weapons to attack Russia. Look, we are not going to attack Russia. We are not interested in their territory, we do not fight out there,” Zelensky said. He also stressed that Ukraine is not going to concede any of its territory.

Zelensky reported earlier that 100 Ukrainian soldiers die in eastern Ukraine everyday.

Neither Ukraine nor Russia report their losses regularly. Russia’s Defence Ministry did it twice, on 2 and 25 March. Their last report said 1,351 Russian servicemen had died in Ukraine and 3,825 were injured.

BBC Russia, however, identified 3,052 Russian servicemen killed in Ukraine. They relied upon the reports provided by regional authorities and regional media. BBC Russia notes that this number is inaccurate since the local authorities do not publish full lists of the deceased. It is impossible to quickly check the official data on the victims during warfare.
