At least five civilians were killed in Russia’s shelling of Ukraine’s Donetsk region on 5 August; 14 more were injured, says Pavlo Kyrylenko, the local governor.

The people were killed in Opytne, Avdiivka, Soledar, and Pervomaiskyi. Houses in Konstiantynivka, Krasnohorivka, Druzhkivka, Kurakhivka, and Kurakhove were damaged.

Two civilians were heavily injured in missile strikes in Mykolaiv, and three more suffered wounds in Nikopol. Kharkiv was also attacked, but no injured were reported there as of yet.
