‘DPR’: one person killed in ammonia leak following shelling of Donetsk brewery

The self-proclaimed Donetsk “people’s republic” (“DPR”) has reported an ammonia leak following the shelling of the Donetsk brewery, the “DPR territorial defence headquarters” says.
According to the HQ, the ammonia leak was caused by shelling from the side of Ukraine. Local residents are advised to stay indoors and close the windows.
The “DPR” emergency ministry later stated that one person had been killed in the attack, and two had been injured. There were 32 people inside the brewery at the moment of the attack.
It is impossible to promptly verify the information provided by the warring sides during an ongoing conflict.
The emergency ministry also reported an ammonia leak following an explosion. The area of possible contamination reaches 1.65 square kilometres. By 1 a.m., the leak was reportedly eliminated.
On 6 August, “DPR” officials stated that 10 people had been injured in an attack on a residential building in Alchevsk, one had been killed. On 4 August, Russian state news agency RIA Novosti reported that Ukraine had shelled a theatre in Donetsk, where a funeral for “DPR” soldier Olga Kachura, who was killed on 3 August, was being held. According to the “DPR”, five people were killed in the attack and six were injured.
