A 45-year-old woman was killed in the overnight shelling of Ukraine’s Dnipro region, governor Valentyn Reznichenko said on his Telegram channel.

According to Reznichenko, the woman’s husband was injured in the shelling. He is currently in the hospital. The family’s house was damaged in the attack. The governor also reported shelling of the Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol districts.

“The enemy shelled the Nikopol district three times overnight. Heavy Russian artillery struck the Marhanets district twice, launching 13 projectiles. Two women, 61 and 63 years old, were injured in Marhanets. One of them is hospitalised. She is in a moderate condition. Six houses, a gas pipeline and a water supply system were damaged in the city,” head of the regional administration said.

Reznichenko added that the Russian military had shelled the area of Chervonohryhorivka, damaging about ten houses and a power line. Up to 1,000 people remain without power.

On Tuesday morning, Kharkiv regional officials reported shelling of the Nova Bavaria and the Chuhuiv districts. The information on injured citizens is being verified, regional governor Oleh Synyehubov said. On 23 August, Kharkiv celebrates City Day.
