Senior Ukrainian official Andriy Yermak has confirmed that a prisoner swap was conducted with Russia.

According to him, 116 service members returned to Ukraine: two officers and 114 private and sergeants. Moreover, bodies of two killed foreigners, Christopher Perry and Andrew Bagshaw, as well as the body of Yevhen Kulik, who served in the French Foreign Legion but returned to fight for Ukraine, were recovered.

The Russian Defence Ministry earlier today announced that 63 Russian service members were swapped, including “sensitive category” individuals. According to the agency, the swap was carried out successfully through the UAE leadership’s mediation.
