UK sanctions Svetlana Krivonogikh, alleged Putin’s lover

The UK has imposed sanctions against 15 Russian nationals and organisations, reads the Foreign Secretary’s statement.

The list of sanctioned individuals includes Svetlana Krivonogikh, “a shareholder in Bank Rossiya and the National Media Group, that consistently promotes the Russian assault in Ukraine”, reads the press release.

Proekt found out in 2020 that Putin and Krivonogikh had a mutual daughter.

Other individuals on the list are Boris Titov, the Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneur’s Rights, his son Pavel, the president of Delovaya Rossiya, and Sergey Rudnov, the owner of “pro-Kremlin news outlet Regum”.

Nikolay Egorov, a lawyer and former Putin’s student peer, Viktor Myachin, the owner of Aerostart, a Russian aircraft maintenance and repair company, Evgeny Shkolov, a former presidential aide and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors for JSC System Operator of the Unified Energy System, and Alexey Repik, chairman of the Board at R-Pharm, also made the list.

Among the sanctioned companies are CST, a manufacturer of Russian drones, RT-Komplekt that produces parts for helicopters, Oboronlogistics that organises transportation and delivery for Russian military equipment, Universalmash and Lipetsk that manufacture or modify tracked chassis for anti-aircraft missile systems, and Topaz, a software company involved in military aviation.

“The UK has sanctioned over 1,300 individuals and entities since Putin began his full scale invasion, as well as unprecedented trade measures co-ordinated with international partners,” adds the statement.
