Mi-8 heli down in Russia’s Altay region, four dead
A Mi-8 passenger helicopter of the Altay Avia airline crashed in Russia’s Altay republic, TASS cites emergency services; six people were killed and seven were injured.
The Emergency Ministry verified the casualties count.
Thus, a total of nine people were injured in the incident.
The helicopter crashed not far from the locality of Tyungur as the helicopter approached landing; a fire started after it crashed. It is reported that a powerline caused the aircraft to crash and that a total of 12 campers and 3 crew members were aboard the helicopter.

A Mi-8 helicopter and a Su-34 bomber crashed in the town of Klintsy in the Bryansk region of Russia on 13 May. At the same time, pro-government military Telegram channels reported that there were two Mi-8, one Su-34, and one Su-35 that crashed.
A Mi-28 helicopter crashed in the Russia-annexed Crimea on 12 May, killing both pilots aboard.
